Cymrillian Warrior-Mage (or Zandir Swordmage)

A favorite character type in our group when we were playing 3rd ed Talislanta was the Cymrillian Warrior Mage and the Zandir Swordmage.  So I’m recreating it here for DCC and it will be available along with the 4 human classes in the core book for anyone that doesn't roll a racial class on the occupation table.

Hit Points: d6 per level

Weapons: As Warrior class

Armor:  Warrior-Mages can wear any armor they can afford.  When casting spells the Warrior-Mages can ignore the first 4 points of check penalty. (i.e. When wearing scale armor the check penalty is 0!)

Action Dice: Warrior-Mages can use their action dice for attacks or spells

Spell Checks: Warrior-Mages add half their level (rounded down) plus Int modifier to their spell checks

Luck: At first level a Warrior-Mage may choose to apply his luck modifier to spell checks on one spell of their choice OR to attacks with one specific weapon type.  This modifier does not change if their luck score changes. Warrior-Mages can burn a point of luck to cancel a roll on table 4-2 the same way a dwarf or warrior can.
